A Collector Story
The Alebrije Behind Next Level Collectibles
A family trip to Oaxaca, a familiar logo, and the handcrafted interpretation that came home as Nahual Supremo.

It Started With a Picture
While my mom was in Oaxaca, I gave her an image of the Next Level Collectibles logo. She took it to a nearby town where Alebrijes are made and asked whether the artists could create something inspired by it.
That was the entire brief: here is the picture—can you make something like this? I did not specify an exact replica or direct the colors, patterns, pose, or expression. The makers were free to interpret the idea in their own way.
What came back was Nahual Supremo: recognizable as part of the Next Level world, but unmistakably a one-of-one work with its own personality.
Made to Be Seen
The Craft Behind the Color
Handcrafted by Catarino Carrillo and Leticia Aragón in Arrazola, Oaxaca, Nahual Supremo rewards a closer look from every side.
Nahual Supremo
A Name That Simply Fits
The name was chosen because it felt right. Presented alongside other carved figures, Nahual Supremo still has a presence and personality all its own—the natural centerpiece of this part of the collection.
From Logo to One of One
An Interpretation, Not a Replica
The logo came first. Nahual Supremo carries its silhouette and spirit into a physical, handcrafted piece, while the artists’ colors, patterns, and choices make it entirely their own.
That balance feels right for a collector-owned shop: begin with a clear identity, respect the work behind every object, and leave room for individual character.
