My iPhone produced good sports card photos, but taking, editing, and uploading them one card at a time was too slow. The Epson ES-400 II removed that bottleneck for ordinary cards, but feeder problems with penny sleeves and difficult card finishes taught me why choosing a scanner takes more research than I first realized.
Next Level Collectibles began with a room full of comic boxes, more sports cards than I truly loved, and a decision to keep only the parts of my collection I could genuinely enjoy. I expected to sell slowly. I did not expect one problem after another to lead me toward building an entire system.
